For the past few years now I have been designing applications for myself and other people,
My main work over the past years has been as a embedded software engineer and have worked
on many projects. Car audio systems (Can bus), Analogue amplifiers , and other science projects.
Below is some of the products which have been designed for research purpose.
Universal SD data logger
SD card data logger for use in the field, data can be uploaded via PC or remove SD card
and view with excel.
Lots of features a very useful device and has build in display, custom screens can be made.
Comes with PP3 battery clip for battery connection, but can supply with AAA battery holder if
required.
Low power < 1ma typ 700uA when logging to SD card for LCD & Standard logger
Also can make with RS232 connector for GSM modem applications.

The idea for the SD waveform player is so you can make test waveforms
To test amplifiers using software supplied or make your own, MATLAB
has been used for this.
This can be used as a cheap signal generator as you program the SD card
Once and just playback.
Other ides are as a small low frequency recorder the idea is to record
EEG data but any slow wave should be ok.
